Mission Statement

The faculty and staff of Altavista Elementary School are dedicated to providing students the opportunity to learn and to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.  We work together to create a safe environment that fosters creativity, mutual respect, and a love of learning.  Altavista Elementary conforms to the guidelines established by the Standards of Quality and Standards of Learning for Public Schools in Virginia as well as the philosophy and objectives of the Campbell County Public School System.  With the cooperation of the parents and the community, our school strives to enable students to become confident, self-directed lifelong learners.
