403(b) Retirement Plan

Health Insurance
Full-time employees of the Campbell County School Division may apply for the county health insurance under the group plan.

Dental Insurance
An optional dental plan is available to full time employees.

Life Insurance
Group Life insurance is provided for all full-time employees and the premium is paid by the Campbell County School Board. This policy is through Minnesota Life in conjunction with the Virginia Retirement System.

VRS
The Virginia Retirement System provides a retirement program for all full-time public school personnel.

Liability insurance coverage is provided for all employees and the premium is paid by the Campbell County School Board. Also, worker’s compensation coverage is provided for all employees.

Annual Leave
Full-time, twelve month employees who continue employment for a school year (July 1 – June 30) will earn a minimum of 10 vacation days per year.

Personal Leave
Teachers who work at least six months may request up to four days of personal leave per year (2 with full-pay and 2 with partial-pay).

Full-time and part-time classified employees are eligible for two days (based on normal working time) of personal leave after completing a minimum of six (6) months of employment.

Sick Leave
All full-time and part-time, licensed and classified employees may earn sick leave at the rate of one day (based on normal working time) per month worked.

Sick Leave Bank
Eligible employees may join the sick leave bank when initially employed or during the annual open enrollment (August 1 to September 1) period.

Tax Sheltered Annuity
Employees have the opportunity to invest in a tax-deferred retirement program through payroll deduction.


Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance reimbursement of up to $900 for college course work (maximum of $450 for one course) is available with prior approval. Also, each teacher receives six days with pay for three teacher scheduled, and three principal scheduled days of professional activities.
