Campbell County is 511 square miles of gently rolling terrain located in Virginia's south central Piedmont region in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The county borders the city of Lynchburg on the north and is 45 miles east of Roanoke, 100 miles west of Richmond, and 200 miles west of the port of Hampton Roads.

Named for Patrick Henry's brother-in-law William Campbell, a Revolutionary War hero, the county is located in the heart of a variety of industrial, recreational and educational opportunities. The nation's capitol is less than 200 miles away, and many noted historical sites are closer still. Opportunities for furthering one's education are numerous. Just minutes away from any part of the county are Lynchburg College, Randolph-Macon Woman's College, Sweet Briar College, Liberty University, and Central Virginia Community College.

Our rural roots and wide-open spaces, combined with a central location, temperate climate, a stable labor pool and a strong and supportive commercial and industrial sector, create a unique south central Virginia location for home and business.
