Instant Alert Messages NEW!
Parents...The Campbell County School System has implemented the NEW instant alert system. This system will alert you by a phone call regarding school closings or delays, emergencies, etc. Campbell County would like to contact parents by email also. IF YOUR CHILD ATTENDS BROOKVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL and you would like to have an instant alert message via email please send your email address to Kelly Glinski kglinski@campbell.k12.va.us . Parents of children at other Campbell County Schools should contact their school's office.

Please be reminded that all absentee excuse notes must be turned into the main office no later than the second day the student returns to school. When a student is absent more than three (3) consecutive days, a doctor's note is required for those absences.

In the month of October (23rd), the division has indicated that our 8th grade students will take a standardized test. The name of the test is Readistep and it has been approved by Central Office. Listed below is a caption that highlights this tool:
ReadiStep is a standardized test that is administered in middle school. It is designed to help schools and districts understand what skills students have and what skills they still need to develop. It also provides students and their families with information about students’ current academic skill levels.
Additionally, 8th graders will voluntarily participate in a alcohol use survey. The informational letter will be distributed via report card envelopes. Please complete the permission form if you desire for your child(ren) to participate. This is a nine question survey and will assist in the Strategic Prevention Framework Implementaiton grant that has been awarded to Campbell County Youth, Adult and Community Services/ Virginia Commonwealth University. |
