Dear Parents / Guardians:

On behalf of the administration, faculty, staff, and students, we welcome you to Rustburg Middle School, home of the Junior Red Devils!

The middle years equip students with academic, social, and emotion skills as they transition to high school. Therefore, we have set high expectations for students.

You will find that RMS and RHS follow the same expectations for Student Dress Code and Attendance. Appearance and attendance do matter and should reflect the idea that learning is a priority.

This school year all schools in the division will continue to build and participate in a Professional Learning Communities. What does that mean? Time is built into the school day for teachers to collaborate, focus on results from assessments, differentiate instruction for learning, and plan together to ensure that all children will learn. In addition to this, the master schedule has another period dedicated to assist all learners academically three days a week.

Parents and guardians, we need you to partner with us to make this the best educational experience for your “ middler.” Please come by often, call, e-mail and ask questions. Get involved! We need YOU!

Please join our PTA.

Way to go, you are on the web! Continue to check out the website. You will find daily announcements and events.

For Learning,

Katherine Bowles
