Sitting for the SAT on October 11th is not mandatory. However, if the following applies, this test is for you:

• Plan on attending a 4 year college or university
• Still undecided about college or post-graduation plans
• Cost has prevented you from taking the SAT
  
• Transportation has prevented you from taking the SAT

 School counseling departments and administrators will be sharing more information about the SAT School Day, including how to sign up at their schools, during the weeks leading up to the October 11 SAT. This test is different from the PSAT that students took during their 10th grade year, so do not miss out on this excellent opportunity.
