Campbell County Science Students Compete

Over 100 fifth grade students completed Science Fair Projects and 14 of those students were selected as Science Stars to represent Campbell County Schools at the Central Va. Regional Science Fair on May 5, 2015.  Students at WCCS, RMS, and BMS also completed science fair projects.  John Maxwell, Manual "Jr." Solario, Amya Jackson, Asya Jennings, Shakira Robinson, and Dan Issacs represented William Campbell Combined School at the Central Va. Regional Science Fair. Breanna Mirakian, represented Rustburg Middle School at the regional fair. Lilli Goodwin represented Brookville Middle School.

Julie Fitzgerald, fifth grade student from Tomahawk Elementary School, presented her project "Elements of Light" to the school board on May 11, 2015.

Manual Solario, sixth grade student from William Campbell Combined School,  presented his project "Coloring Dissolving Skittles" to the school board on May 11, 2015.


Asya Jennings received an Honorable Mention for her project, "Green Beans".

Manual Solario received a Regional Communications Award for his project, "Coloring Dissolving Skittles". 

Brookville Middle School student, Lilli Goodwin, won first place at regional fair and a biological award for her invertebrate project, "Don't be a Pill; Which bait pill bugs prefer?"   She is pictured on the right with Science Specialist - Lani Patrick
