Campbell County Schools respects every individual’s right to free expression and peaceful assembly.  On March 14, 2018, national organizations have advocated for a student walkout at 10:00 a.m.  Campbell County Schools neither encourages nor discourages participation in this event.  Campbell County students, if they choose, may participate in a peaceful manner.

Campbell County Schools’ number one priority will be student safety.  At 10:00 a.m. on March 14, 2018, students wishing to participate will be allowed to assemble for seventeen minutes under the supervision of school staff in a safe location that the administration will announce the morning of the event.  For safety purposes, only students will be allowed to participate in this event.  Students wishing not to participate will remain in class under the supervision of their classroom teacher.  At the conclusion of seventeen minutes, students will be expected to return to class and resume normal school activities.  Throughout the entirety of the event, students are expected to adhere to Campbell County Schools’ Standards of Student Conduct.
