Summer Food Service Program Announced

MEDIA RELEASE FOR 2018 SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM

 

Campbell County Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.  Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

This program is offered for all children ages 18 and under.  Anyone over the age of 18 - meals will be available for $3.00

 

Meals will be provided on a first come, first serve basis, at the sites and times as follows:

 

Altavista Elementary – July 9 – July 27, 2018 – Breakfast:  8:45 am to 9:10 am 

Lunch: 10:30 am to 12:00 pm     Open to Public:  B: 9:10 am – 9:20 am      L: 12:00 pm to 12:20 pm

 

Altavista Middle/High Combined – July 9 - July 27, 2018   Lunch: 10:30 am to 12:00 pm

Open to Public:  12:00 pm to 12:10 pm

 

Brookneal Elementary – July 9 – July 27, 2018    Breakfast:  8:55 am to 9:10 am

Lunch: 10:30 am to 11:45 am   Open to Public:   B: 9:10 am – 9:20 am       L:  11:45 am to 11:55 am

 

Concord Elementary – June 11 - July 27, 2018 ** closed July 2-6    Breakfast:  8:45 am to 9:10 am

Lunch:  10:30 am to 12:00 pm    Open to Public: B:  9:10 am – 9:20 am   L:   12:00 pm to 12:10 pm

 

Leesville Road Elementary – June 11- July 27, 2018   ** closed July 2-6   Breakfast:  8:30 am to 9:10 am

Location: RES Cafeteria. Please enter through the side entrance at the bus loading ramp. If you are facing the school, the entrance is on the left side of the building with parking next to the playground.

More Wonderful News! This year we will be providing bus transportation for lunch on a limited basis. See below for more information.

Bus Information: Bus 90, Driver Ms. Rhonda

Pick-up:1st stop will be on 501 at Sierra Way at 11:30. The bus will then travel to Suburban and Evergreen with pick-up time of approximately 11:45.

Drop Off: Bus will leave RES at 12:30 to return students to Suburban and Evergreen at 12:45 and to Sierra Way at 1 pm.

Pick-up and Drop-off times are approximate. Children must be at least 4 yrs old ride the bus. An adult must be at the stop for both pick-up and drop-off for any students who are 3rd grade age or younger.

 

Rustburg High School – July 9 – July 27, 2018– Lunch:  10:15 am to 10:50 am

Open to Public:  10:50 am to 11:00 am

Closed Enrolled Sites and Camps

 

Campbell County Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.  Meals will be provided to all eligible children free of charge.  (To be eligible to receive free meals at a residential or non-residential camp, children must meet the income guidelines for reduced-price meals in the National School Lunch Program.  The income guidelines for reduced-price meals by family size are listed below.)  Children who are part of the households that receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SANP, formerly food stamps) benefits or are benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) are automatically eligible to receive free meals.

 

Acceptance and participation requirements for the Program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.  Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows:
